Munnar , Kerala

Posted June 1st, 2009 by arun

Kerala is truly God’s own country. It is breathtaking beautiful right from the coastal areas and back water to the hills . Munnar is a pristine hill station here, set at an altitude of 6000 ft in idukki district . It was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British . Unending expanse  to tea plantations, pristine valleys, mountains , exotic species of flora and fauna and lush green forest ares comprise the beauty of the hill resort . Munnar is at the confluence of three rivers. The three mountain streams joining together here are Madurapuzha , Nallathanni and Kundala .

The tea gardens in Munnar top the must-see list . The lavish and splendid tea gardens are the best place for tourist to get a glimpse of how this beverage, which is an integral part of our life , reaches the cup .

Climate : Cool and cold Climate all through out the year .

Sightseeing : Pothamedeu , Devikulam , Pallivasal, Echo Point , Rajamala , Nyayamakad .
